Compulsory formalities:

Anyone requesting the document should present it personally to the civil status personnel.

They are exempt from this obligation if they have deposited a specimen of their signatures as the following formalities indicate:

Identities :

Signature legalization is possible if one of the following identities is presented:

•  the National Identity card.

•  Foreigners' Identity card (delivered by the National Security Department).

•  The Passport

the signature specimen :

Any citizen who frequently requests the legalization of his signature in the civil status service.

N.B:

•  signature legalization is forbidden when the document bears indecent texts or is against public order.

•  Administrative documents presented by the state services, by local associations and by public institutions are exempt from paying legal fees.
